As with equipment we're critical about cables. On this topic we've our own philosophy. We see this philosophy as the ultimate consequence of Mr. Robert Harley's remarks in his book: 'The Complete Guide to High-End Audio' (Acapella Publishing, New Mexico, 1998):

'Compare inexpensive cables with expensive ones - sometimes manufacturers have superb cables that sell for a fraction of the price of their top-of-the-line products' (p. 369).

Further:

'At the top end of the scale, cable and interconnect pricing bears little relationship to the cost of desighning and manufacturing the product. Unlike other audio products, whose retail prices are largely determined by the parts costs ....., cables and interconnects are sometimes priced according to what the market will bear. This trend began when one company set its prices vastly higher than everyone else's-and saw its sales skyrocket as a result. Other manufacturers then raised their prices so they wouldn't be perceived as being of lower quality. ......... many cables are ridiculously overpriced" (369-370)

This seems to be impossible with electronic equipment. How can this be?

In some (or many) cases 'manufacturers' of audio cables don't manufacture the cables for them selves but buys-in (with their printed name on them) from others. This means that those cables are already manufactured and available, although mostly designed for other applications.

This means that very good sounding cables can be available for relative low prices. The question therefore is: where can you find them? Its our experience: mostly not in the audio-industry, but elsewhere. We invested much time in finding, buying and listening to 'cheap' cables with a High-End quality of sound. Our most important criterion for selecting is, besides extreme neutrality: quality..

It's our opinion that the function of cables is not to neutralise perceived shortcomings of electronics, but to transport signals as smooth and undisturbed as possible. Only when you know the quality of your preferred equipment, it is meaningful to look for cables which refines this quality (fine-tuning).

It's our mission to be in the opportunity to sell really High-End audio cables for a very reasonable price. Sometimes this means that the price of our cables is one-tenth of prices of going High-End audio cables of the same quality.
